Interview with Jean-Michel Durafour

Professor in Film Theory and Aesthetics at the Université Aix-Marseille, author of books such as Jean-François Lyotard: questions au cinéma (PUF, 2009) and Cinéma et cristaux. Traité d’éconologie (Mimésis, 2018), Jean-Michel Durafour discusses in this interview the relation between cinema and crystals, focusing on two films presented in the exhibition : Kristallen in kleur by Jan Cornelis Mol (ca. 1930, colored version of Uit het rijk der kristallen, 1927), and Cristaux liquides de Jean Painlevé (1978).
