Interview with Térésa Faucon

Associate Professor in Film Studies at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, author of books such as Théorie du montage. Énergie des images (Armand Colin, 2017, 2nd ed.) and Gestes contemporains du montage. Entre médium et performance (Naima, 2017), Térésa Faucon discusses in this interview the film by Pascal Baes presented in the exhibition: Topic I and II (16mm, 13’, 1989). She focuses on the way in which the various techniques of time manipulation that are employed in the film, from stop-motion animation to long exposure, transform the bodies of the actors and the temporality of their gestures and movements.
